The performance and result was as welcome as it was unexpected. As different again from the Cardiff game as it is possible to imagine. I thought the three that came into the side made a huge difference. The whole team gave their all and deserved their victory. Particularly pleased to see George Hall come on and get stuck in. We have it back in our own hands now. Our away form has been shite but we simply have to win at Rotherham. It won't be easy but Rowett has finally worked his magic and we played like a team with desire, purpose and aggression. There is hope now, KRO and forever true to the royal blue.

Why has it been the best part of 40 games to see a performance like that ?

Agree with all that RB and I would add that the fans played their part today too- atmosphere completely different from Wednesday night. I believe we’ve won the last 5 home matches when we’ve had a full house,we can make a difference! Next week will be a different type of challenge to today but we have to build on this and not let this opportunity pass. Ps is Stansfield sponsored by Duracell? His energy level is unbelievable!
Cheers and kro

When the team was announced on Sha they went into meltdown. Well done the lads lovely to see Keshi sparkle again and Roberts showed why we signed him on a 5-year contract but the star was Sunjic (sign him up on a reduced contract of course) When he ran over towards us after he scored he had tears streaming down his cheeks💙💙💙

Only just back after an all dayer What a day, If the players fail to turn up next week it will all be a waste. From start to finish today was brilliant.. Just want our players to stop dicking around. It sounds so simple but if they put on two more performances back to back it will mean survival.

Yep exactly this I want to see the same passion and desire in the next 3 games.
Excellent performance from start to finish I’d rank it as the best this season by far.

fcuking hell, what a performance. Bielek as CB is a a no brainer and, give Sunjic a contract. I've always liked him and gets undeserved criticism. Yes, and try to keep Stansfield I think Rowett said earlier in the week that we were gonna try and sign him.

I don't want to be chief chip pisser but, despite being a great performance i think Cov players had their mind on other things.

I don't want to be chief chip pisser but, despite being a great performance i think Cov players had their mind on other things. Whilst I suspect there is probably some truth in that, I don’t think it tipped the balance in the game. Blues were very good from start to finish with our lowest point being the opening ten minutes of the second half. We seemed to still be in the dressing room and that has been a recurring weakness in our play this season. The third goal came against the run of play but once it went in we managed the game very well and there was to be no repeat of the Ipswich game. Coventry came into the game with real momentum whilst we came into having won one in ten (UB40 association unintentional😂) and a last home performance that was flat as a witch’s tit. We had a bit of luck with the ball bouncing off the bar at 1-0 but were well worth the victory on merit in my book. I also think we did ourselves a favour with hopefully helping Norwich come to us in the last game with their play off place secured and them focused on the play off semi final. We need Hull to fall short of threatening to catch them by the last game. Of course all of it will mean nothing if we do not put in that level of performance in the remaining three games to get us over the line.

I gotta give Rowett kudos for this. He clearly picked the 11 players who he thought were most up for it. And kudos to those players for indeed being up to it. Question is, is this repeatable, have we sorted the men from the boys? If so, just 2 more similar performances in the next 2 games will see us alright. KRO

KRO GR is giving a lot of credit too Gary Gardner. Apparently,he's had a lot to say over the last few days.Things like this always happen. Teams that have been shit all season suddenly start getting big results when they need them.

I don't want to be chief chip pisser but, despite being a great performance i think Cov players had their mind on other things. Tbh I never bought into that before the game. Players aren't like fans, it's like most blues fans say relegation and more than a decade of utter shite was still worth it for Wembley and beating Arsenal but I absolutely guarantee players would swap that medal for a decade of prem wages.
That said yes it may have meant pulling out of a tackle here, not challenging for a ball there, I'm sure they couldn't completely shut it out of their minds but I'm also sure they would have very much wanted to win yesterday whilst hoping Preston turned Norwich over. Had those results happened they'd be favourite now to clinch that last play off spot having come very close to going up last season.
So as said I don't really buy what some were saying leading up to the game that cov would have their minds on next week and so we had a better chance, maybe a very minor distraction for some of them but truthfully I just thnk our intensity blew them away. I should also add that as I keep my own form records for teams I was of the opinion that cov actually hadn't been playing that well recently. Given our form it seemed a lot less relevant than it normally would be but since we did turn up as it were, cov's current form (talking about performances more than results) then wasn't of a level to live with us and tbf a lot of teams in this division would have struggled against us at that level.
