After losing my father two years ago my sister and I decided to do our dna for answers. We for example don’t know any members of our father’s family hence the decision.....
Hitting some brick walls and wondering if anyone on here has experience researching for family members via a dna platform.
It’s being a thoroughly enjoyable experience thus far despite the setbacks that you incur for reasons beyond my control.
I posted it here as I believe it’s something a lot of us have become interested in especially after watching programmes like ‘who do you think you are’.

I spent ages searching, but didn't use their dna search. Worth a look if you haven't done so already.

I done mine with my ancestry and my sister with my heritage. I think it gives us the best of both worlds using differing platforms.
I think my biggest gripe is getting other matches to engage in the family history they know of. My dad gave me enough oral history to work with however that’s just the start.
