Yes, as said I accept that, you can't argue with facts well not if you're sensible. At the same time just saying the results ignores context, and sure you can do that and a lot of people in my experience do do just that, but you're only ever getting part of the story.
Shit teams or teams that play shit can now and again beat good tems or teams that play really well on the day, it happens, if it didn't then we wouldn't watch it at all. However the teams that play well more often will generally finish higher up the table which is why I put far more store (generally most of the time) in how we played and recently how much the ref fecked us.
If we go by results, we've taken one point in 6 games losing 5 of them and people who make that the whole story think we're doomed, it'll never get better, it's all Cook's fault or Rooney's fault or Venus' fault and life's not fair and I want to fight someone.
However if you look at performances
IPSWCH - outplayed completely for half an hour, a bit better towards halftime, went toe to toe in an even second half until the last ten minutes or so and some weird sub choices but decent away to 3rd/4th in the league who've been smashing teams at home all season. Scorcher from JJ.
SOUTHAMPTON - against one of the best footballng Sides in the division who were in the prem last season we scored 3 goals and only lost after harshly having a man sent off and the ref wrongly awarding a corner leading ultimately to their winner.
Hull - away to another top 6 side we were 2nd best but would have come away with all 3 points were it not for the ref completely missing their player handballng the ball into the net for their eqaliser.
MILLWALL - we deserved to lose, they were better than us but let's be clear we were denied a stonewall penalty on Stansfield and though different opinions on their goal and whether Mark Roberts got shoved, either way both big goal deciding decisions went against us and whichever way you look at it game after game refs have been fcuking us and costing us points, clearly 4 and maybe as much as 6 points just in these last 3 games. How would we have performed in the next two games with the confidence of those points in the bank as they absolutely should have been?
BORO - no defence, we weren't good enough and got what we deserved, fck all.
WATFORD - as said we were comfortably the better side, 27 shots and lost to some ridiculous decision making by two players who otherwise played well and bloody brilliantly in the case of Drameh, yes poor decision making in the final third but there was a lot more right than wrong today.
So taking in the whole 3 decent performances aganst 3 of the best sides in the division scoring 5 goals and another today without the goals to show for it. Admittedly Millwall was not great and boro was really poor, but overall that's not the profile of a team putting in shite performance after shite performance and on balance it should turn for us, just like it did when Monk was not getting the results performances deserved a few years back, think fans miss this sometimes.
Results are results and they can sting, but performances point the way and ours haven't been as bad overall as many would have us believe, we've made a few howlers in defence and attack and had a string of very costly ref decisions fcuk us, nobody wil feel sorry for us and we shouldn't either, but doesn't stop it being true.
I agree that performance is important, I feel better and more optimistic after the Watford game, rather than how I felt after Boro. But we’ve had more poor performances in the last 3 games over the previous 3. Rooney’s team had a few good performances, Ipswich for 80 minutes, Leicester and Plymouth first half where it felt right to hang on and see if results would follow. Rooney also had 4 points in his first 6 games so is ahead of Venus. Only the people that run the club will know TM’s situation and potential return date. I can’t see them not acting when they know it’s necessary and give us the best chance of staying up.

The rest of the season is simple now - match or better the results of Huddersfield and Sheff Wed.
Everyone expected a Huddersfield win yesterday, so we got very lucky not to be in the bottom three. As for Sheff Wed, they took a huge hit on their goal difference, which could be crucial.
Again, another game played, and nothing changed down there - we started in 21st and ended in 21st. The QPR game could be the most damaging in terms of if we lose it. Win, and we drag the teams above us back into the mix - lose, and we could be adrift.

If Mowbray is not back then write off QPR and we all know the gig is now going to be a potential farce of the highest order. If we lose the easter double header then how many will be in a party mood?
If they knew on day one Mowbray was potentially going to miss 8 games then this is just as bad a mistake as the timing to sack Eustace.
They may have done loads off the field but on it has been an unmitigated disaster!
SIGNING A BUNCH OF PUSSIES THAT DON'T LIKE PRESSURE SACKING EUSTACE FAR TOO EARLY EMPLOYING AN UNPOPULAR MANAGER MORE KNOWN FOR HIS PLAYING CAREER & DESIRE FOR BANGING OLD HOOKERS WAITING TO LONG TO PUT THE BULLET IN A POOR APPOINTMENT I'M TOLD THEY KNEW ABOUT MOWBRAY WHEN HE CAME IN THAT MAKES THAT WORSE IF TRUE DECIDING TO LEAVE US MANAGERLESS
Oh and I heard Sanderson was benched because he went on the piss to Cheltenham and missed training for it?

If the Sanderson story is true then he should be fined and stripped of the Captaincy.

If the Sanderson story is true then he should be fined and stripped of the Captaincy. He also picked up 10 more pairs of trainers before he went.

Coventry play us the week before they play in the FA cup semi final - is that an advantage for us or another motivator for our opposition?
If they are adrift of the play offs I'd hope a couple of their big hitters would be rested (protected) but knowing our luck they'll be 6th in the table and use the game to motivate players for a spot in the FA cup team.

If Sanderson was at fault for the above then I can't believe TM / MV would even put him in the match day squad

If they are adrift of the play offs I'd hope a couple of their big hitters would be rested (protected) but knowing our luck they'll be 6th in the table and use the game to motivate platers for a spot in the FA cup team.
I'd clocked this before they played as thought it might be the case. Personally I'm extremely confident Cov will absolutely not rest anybody, the FA Cup would be great but it's not worth the 170 million promotion could be, it's no contest our game will be the priority.
However what could play into our hands is if it's on the players' minds. Not wanting to get injured or sent off with the cup semi next up in 7 days, but even then maybe it's only some of the players and probably only comes into their thinking for 10% or so of challenges, they can't be too obvious. So my thinking is it'll be a quite tiny advantage if at all, I mean even the players will probably be thinking going down in history winnng the cup would be ace, but quadrupling my wages with promotion is better.

My take on the remaining games whilst Venus remains in control...
QPR LOSS PRESTON DRAW LEICESTER LOSS CARDIFF WIN (Assuming this will be TM first one back) COVENTRY DRAW (Where will this move to?) ROTHERHAM WIN HUDDERSFIELD LOSS NORWICH DRAW
That gives us 48 Points
Sheff Wed 10 Points, Huddersfield 9 Points (Goal Difference between us is crucial) QPR 11 Points, Stoke 9 Points, Plymouth & Blackburn for me are the key both of these will be lucky to get more than 6 points I think Millwall will easily get 8 points maybe more.
With the Coventry game moving it may play into our hands especially if they push the game to midweek in last week as they could have been edged out the play off picture.

Post international break I'd expect to see Bielik, Dembele, Pritchard and probably Juke fit again. I'm fingers crossed that Mowbray will be the one sat in the dug out - even if its just as a 'I'm back but just watching' capacity.....I think that would give everyone a huge lift.
QPR aside, the stretch of games that includes Coventry, Rotherham, and Huddersfield is the most crucial now (not expecting anything from Leicester and Preston have their tails up at the minute). We just need that 'break' in fortunes as everything seems to be conspiring against us at the minute (how many times have we faced the new manager bounce this season)?

digging other blues fans out, and for what having a more optmistic outlook? Hardly seems worthy of mocking them, each to their own I suppose. Isn’t that what you were doing here: “we've taken one point in 6 games losing 5 of them and people who make that the whole story think we're doomed, it'll never get better, it's all Cook's fault or Rooney's fault or Venus' fault and life's not fair and I want to fight someone.”

No, but can see how it could be interpreted that way now you've highlighted it, I could have worded it better.
What I was saying (not as well as I could have) was if you ONLY go by the result and ignore context (like the performances, opposition, shit refs etc) then it would be entirely reasonable to see everything in very negative tones, even I would if only viewing it through that lens, it's shit, will never get better etc.
I'm not perfect or holier than thou and not for one second would I ever suggest I've never done this with intent and worse. However I try very hard to be better these days and there was no intent to mock here, trust me if I ever turn the inner chunt full on you'd know.

Just sat here watching a bit of YouTube and the Bolton v Blues game flashed up. It'll be 10 years since THAT game and couldn't help seeing the connection to having Robinson on the pitch back then to having him back at the club now.
One thing he has got is passion in abundance - hopefully the players will pick up on some of that passion.....God help them if they don't because he won't take any prisoners.
