Mark Venus joining Mowbray in having a break is a little bit of surprise. Would have thought they’d like some continuity and link to Mowbray. But I guess it opens up a spot for Rowett to get his own man in to assist

Absolutely the correct decision.
Venus was never the right person for the job. While I’m surprised it took them this long to come to their senses, I’m glad they eventually did.

I believe GR is brining in Paul Robinson and Dave carolan…which probably explains the Venus decision

Maybe a fit again Bielek can be the, much missed, leader on the pitch?

I know this had to be done but,IF TM doesn't come back, and i really hope he does because the football was quite enjoyable,i hope we look elsewhere for a replacement. If we can't score with 20 odd attempts, how are we going to score with half a dozen?

Much will depend on Tony's health issues, how Rowett does in the remaining eight games and if the rumours that he made the shortlist to replace Wayne Rooney were true. If he was a serious contender, and I would have my doubts given previous comments from the owners about the style of football they want at the club, he keeps us up and Tony does not return to football, then it might be possible. As much as I will support him 100% whilst he is here, I do not want us playing his style of football a game longer than necessary.

If we can't score with 20 odd attempts, how are we going to score with half a dozen? Maybe because we will have different players and actually have a couple of proper strikers! personally I wouldn’t mind if Rowett did stay so long as we were winning. Also I think that he is a master of getting a tune out of what he’s got. I don’t think he has actually been able to build a team in his name over a sustained period. But I get why some are nervous of his style at other clubs. I remember us scoring quite a few goals in his first term here, like 5 away at Fulham. And welcome back Robbo

In all of this I'd love to see something from Tony, whether that be just a 'hi, I'm doing okay' statement/video or even a picture of him with his thumbs up - we've seen nothing since he told us that he had to step away for a bit.

Tom Ross has just tweeted that he had a text from TM two days ago. TM said he's getting stronger everyday and can't wait to get back to work but,he had to put his health first.

Pity we can’t play Paul Robinson! And Liam Daish! This
For as long as I can remember there's been a sizeable element on sha that hate Robinson with a passion and I've never understood it. OK you don't like his personality but I don't support the club or players because they're up for organisation/people of the year awards.
Robinson (and especially Daish for that matter my favourite ever blues player) imo, are exactly the kind of characters you want on the pitch when you're battling and scrapping, we can't have that so at least having them around the place is next best thing in my book.
I'm also convinced that for a couple of periods of Robinson's playing career with us we'd have gone down without his experience and organising at the back, very unfairly maligned by some imo, he's a winner by character, more of them please.

yep same here.
Obviously McKenna at Ipswich is manager of the season (it is obvious isn't it?) but don't think a club lik us right now could get him out of Ipswich. Corberan even with the baggies getting new owners I think might be more attainble. Liked him before this season but really think he's overachieved with the baggies as it looks like he's going to get them comfortably qualfying for play offs and I'm not at all convinced they're any better man for man than half a dozen sides below them, he's also had extensive injuries to forward players most of the season. Really well organised side and taken more points at home than Leicester.
