Comes across very clear about what's needed and how to get it. When you look back at the season and how each manager has communicated, you can see why the players don't know what day it is (not making excuses for them, just stating a fact). Hopefully, Rowetts way is just a simple instruction of what's needed.....just win the bloody game.

Yes, exactly that, it's what's needed. Know what the plan is, battle, scrap and dig in for each other, going to take some doing but I have a lot more confidence now than I did after that Boro game. Little bit of luck needed as well.

Communication always was one of his strengths. When he joined the first time around it was the happiest I'd been with a manager appointment since Brucey and not been as happy with one since until Mowbray, so basically was happier with his appointment then than any other in an over two decade span.
This time around I'm a little less sure conditions are ideal, except for him coming into a low on confidence and results struggling club which I think he tends to shine far more in than one that's previously been riding high.
On a sidenote how slimmed down is he? I know he's done a few marathons and that physique is more beneficial in that kind of endurance test but it's actually quite shocking seeing shoulders that narrow on him, without any kind of malice it's like seeing him in a hall of mirrors reflection, it really is stark.

Totally agree. I think the kit he was wearing with white strips on the outside against a predominantly light background made him look like he was as thin as the black part of his kit. But yes slimmer but totally exceptional in communication. You can see that he will get a clear message across. I am beginning to hope and believe again.

Hopefully he will shape this team into winning a good few games and get us clear of the drop.

Agreed, a clear message and simplifyng things is a big part of his ability to quickly have sides implementing a good defensive shape.
Wasn't sure yet another man in charge was the right way to go but just beginning to feel as though our chances of survival have probably improved, proof will be in the pudding of course but despite my not really having much desire for him to manage us again, I do feel one of his best skills is finding a way wth the players he has and in that respect and with so few games left I don't think we realistically could have done much better.
Have already said I wasn't exactly upset when he was sacked before for my own footballng reasons but couldn't deny he'd saved us from relegation and stopped us being utterly crap on an absolute shoestring with largely division one players. If he saves us again then will personally feel a debt of gratitude to him for services rendered, and not care who he spoke to many years ago.

I can tolerate him until the end of the season, but what happens after that when he's left and Tony isn't back until pre-season? Who's going to deal with players contracts, buying/ selling players etc?
