Have said before when he was here first time around I wasn't overly disappointed when he was sacked, I just felt he'd got into a bit of a rut coasting without really tryng to evolve us.
However credit where it's due, whether you're a fan of his or not he's very good at putting you at ease in terms of giving you the strong impression he knows exactly what he's doing and even when results go against you he doesn't panic or stress because he knows exactly what he's doing. I imagine that characteristic is equally good at putting players both at ease and at the same time up for job at hand, bravo sir.

He is a master of his craft. Also, today’s performance was actually a very attacking good footballing and as good an output from these players as we have seen. I think that he is excellent at getting the best out of what he has to manage. If he had an attacking, quality squad at his disposal would those that default to the narrative of boring, negative football performances be proven wrong? I would be more than happy for him to have the luxury of building a squad of players based on a good budget because he knows his onions! But only if TM couldn’t return. Well done GR

Money changes a lot in the game.
He had a few quid at Stoke but most of his jobs he’s had to mix and match.
If you’re not moving forward and not evolving in the game then it gets stale quickly.
Millwall he gave a lot of loyal service and put them on the edge of playoffs with no money.
You look at Kompany at Burnley they were great but that’s parachute for ya. Maresca same at Leicester it’s easy when you throw the cash around.
Not that I’m saying we won a game and let’s get carried away.
If he keeps us up and TM is not going to return then why not just aim for a stable period of one good hard solid season at the right end of the table and get used to seeing a team win matches.
The lesson to be had this season is we need stop trying to run.
Apart from the obvious of them wanting Rooney I would say Eustace had meetings with them and he’d have been feet on the ground and saying let’s have a top half season and build and they took this as negative and thought what if we had a positive manager.
I went into an energy supplier role for yank venture capitalist and they didn’t like NO!
My role was to set up field collections over a normal set up of 8 to 10 weeks plenty of boring legal stuff anyway first day first meeting. “We want to role it out in your first 3 days on site”
Then spent hours in meetings with legal folk with me and legal folks explaining why it’s not possible. Boy did they not like it.
Don’t get me wrong they are people of action and do get shit done but boy do they hate nay sayers.

How many points do you think Rowett will need to get to be offered the job next season even if Mowbray is fit to return because the owners would be ruthless?

Harsh reality right now is staying up is success.
We could get 51 points and go down we could get 46 and stay up.
I have heard TM return chances are finely balanced, I guess it’s the timeline. I don’t think you want him 100% in August. You probably need that at worst by the time we report back for start pre season.
All we need right now is to get to the end of season and then make the decision in June.

All hearsay i would suspect and unless you have a direct link to his well being than suspect its exectly what i said , hearsay. So your finely balanced info is he could come back or couldnt come back?

Well done GR Nah we need to move on if TM, can’t return to someone else. GR, has failed in jobs where he had a good squad and funds to push them into the playoffs. He’s a good manager at clubs where he just has to get on with it. I’d be very disappointed if he’s given the job full time tbh.

Rowett gets the best out of what he has at his disposal and we've been saying that this squad should be mid table, with a competent manager.
What I saw yesterday, for the first time in ages, were Blues players not being out muscled or bullied. They won their personal battles with the opposition. GR has bought this and who would want to face Robbo having not put the effort in on the pitch?
I saw Bielek compete like Kieftenbald yesterday - if you could merge the two, what a player you'd have (a proper Blues player)

Yeah basically this. I was actually surprised after the game to see that we'd only had 11 shots with 4 of them on target because it 'felt' like more than that watching it but what I'm in no doubt over was how much more control we had due to that improved competitiveness and that translated to a better feeling watching us aswell as of course the result which ultmately right now is paramount.
