I reckon 15-18k stayed for the gig, which was bloody great by the way.
One of the best KRO was sung too.

Forever true will be an anthem for generations to come.
Absolutely loved it.
Bar still shit though, the staff are the least convincing bar staff ever. Have you ever been served by any of them that look like they have ever worked behind a bar before.
When they get a tender for the new caterers this is the first thing to address.

Great day obviously the win helped but UB40 were good and that kid can sing Mat used to work on the JLR track whilst playing Glastonbury with his first band Kioko would you believe. Kioko done a collaboration with UB40, and Mat was that good everyone thought he should be take the then vacant UB40 job. UB offered him the chance to bin the day job, and become a full time musician, and I think he’s done well. He’s a local Bluenose, and a nephew of an original member anyway. He cowrote Forever True with Robin. UB worked for free today, but the club spared no expense putting that gig on for us, and as it was a one off bespoke gig, the cost was around 400k.

The social media clicks will be through the roof on this one though - great day all round 👍🏻👍🏻

Just having a think. Has there ever been a club that has had a top band adapt a hit tune to incorporate the clubs anthem in it?
I discount You'll Never Work Again by the Scousers as that was an original and hasn't been adapted like Food for Thought has for us by UB40. Feel quite honoured to have our anthem now in an iconic hit song.

A brilliant 'red letter' day.
Occasionally, just occasionally, our Club just gets everything right.

We were in Spain last week and came back a day early to get to the game and the gig - so glad we did, one of the better days at Stans!
