A tad more than expected but won't be an issue.

Dan has said we are fine, so no problem.

A tad more than expected but won't be an issue. More? I predicted a £25m loss in these accounts back October from the BSH accounts mate. This was marginally less.

I was talking about MY expectations of around 24 million but I like the way you think

I was talking about MY expectations of around 24 million but I like the way you think £55.7m losses over three years. We know they weee just OK on P&S so that means the count back for infrastructure depreciation, women’s and academy football and COVID was about £17m or about £5.7m per season. That is slightly higher than I expected (and may be why the total loss was higher than you expected Bubba) but not way higher. We can expect that to increase due to the additional infrastructure depreciation but looking ahead if we take £6m a season average over 21/2, 22/3, and 23/4 that means the total loss this year has to be £6.8m or lower for us to be ok. We lost £4m in the first half even with the Chong sale and Bellingham payment. I know we have the naming rights and increasing commercial revenue in the second half but it’s going to be tight.

Yes have for a long time worked on a guesstimate of somewhere between 4 and 5 million per season on the exempted spending for infrastructure, depreciation etc and as you say it's come in a smidge over. You can usually make a pretty decent estimate from using all known data including past accounts, think I was a couple of million over last season but that was one of my worst years and even that wasn't terrible.
Regarding this year's losses, Dan did an article previously which making a couple of logcal assumption suggested a ceilng loss for this season of something very similar to 20/21 which was around about 5 million from memory but I agree you can probably revise that up a touch.
As for it being tight this year, I know Dan thinks the same and whilst that term can mean different things to different people I'm personally expecting us to be comfortably under the bar but again these descriptive terms can be open to interpretation so to be clear I'm guesstimating we'll be somewhere between 3 and 5 million under the maximum loss limits this season. This would mean we could have comfortably have signed a striker in January should the desire to do so have been there. Unfortunately it'll be another year before this question can be answered definitively, by which time everyone will have forgotten about it, although maybe less so if we did get relegated.
