It looks like we’re going to have two stadiums one for the ladies and youth teams and one big one for the men’s and concerts. It also sounds like we’ll be having community academy pitches there too.
Even with all that we’ll still have acres of space for retail, restaurant chains and bars.
It’s going to be unreal.

It’s great they say world class stadium as opposed to just stadium.
Yeah a step back is probably coming but the future is huge.
Need a new generation of fans cos right now current moaners don’t want to back the club and pay £15 for crucial survival games.

Need a new generation of fans cos right now current moaners don’t want to back the club and pay £15 for crucial survival games. That will only happen when there is a massive improvement to what happens on the pitch. The stadium news is a very positive. The team news is very negative.

Majorly excitinvg news and to be honest, this completely shows the owners total and long term commitment to blues, regardless of what like we are in come August. I predict 50k capacity with scope to extend.

Saying 'World Class' doesn't seem right to me, nowhere near that as yet, those words have been said before and we haven't lived up to it.

Bottom left corner is St Andrews and you can see the trainline which runs at the back of the gm and also alongside our new site, a possible new train station on Garrison lane might be possible. if we managed to get the rest of the plot i think we would have in the region of 100 acres 😳

On a serious note.....WOW 😳😳
This is BEYOND anything that any of us thought we'd ever SEE at our club let alone think it - I'll be honest, it feels like a quite emotional moment that deserves a circle on the calendar as a true moment in the history of Birmingham City Football Club.
Anyway, I'm off to stick a fork in my hand because surely this is a dream and the pain will wake me up 🤪😄

I was at Spurs on Sunday. Full of tourists and middle class tossers who’d never been to a game before. Atmosphere totally sanitised. Me and my youngest came out laughing at the Spurs crowd. Forest fans laughing at Spurs fans as well. Great stadium but I’m afraid it’s not for me. Sorry for being a killjoy but when clubs become businesses and not football clubs, they lose their soul.

I don't see us being as touristy as London clubs. Enjoy the ride because for clubs like us even with all this ambition the only chance of another day in the sun (Cup Win) is from the EPL. Just by being there you have a 1 in 20 chance of winning something. If Coventry make the final they will be the first finalist from outside the tier since Millwall. Obviously we have had a couple more in League Cup but it's slim pickings. How many tier two cup winners in the last 60 years? My lasting ambition at my age is to fluke the Fa Cup and have one last jaunt into Europe and given the Europe expansion just by being in the two lower rank euro tournaments most EPL can get close to winning just by being an EPL club given the calibre of opponents. It's why vile were quoted as 5/1 before they kicked a ball. With the eradiction of teams dropping from Champions League into these it's even easier. Sadly I think them chunts are gonna win it as well. If we do kick on and their project pays off you could still spend 25 years trying to win the biggest prize and if I ain't dead I will probably have packed up going by then

So many vilers doing mock up maps of vile pork and surrounding areas and talking about how easy it would be to knock down a 100+ houses so they can copy us.
WHAT A DAY!!

They will probably persuade Birmingham Council to demolish Aston Hall to extend a shed.

Firstly, fcuk the Vile because they now realise that they are stuck with an old stadium with nowhere else to go - hope it rots around them.
Secondly, we need to thank them as they'll be clicking like mad reading about how much bigger than them we are going to be and with each click they are giving us money 😄😄

So who funds this project, and what kind of ROi are they expecting?
I understand sponsors will play a role in funding a portion. Being next to the railway lines, whoever brands it is going to gain millions of eyes per year.

I think it’s a combination of investors and sponsors tbh. I heard £17m of public money is being put aside for this; something to do with levelling up.
It appears to me that all the ingredients are being put in place for a very good partnership with the council…..
It makes a lot of sense with Hs2, being close by and with the councils plans for nearby Digbeth I can see this as the start of gentrification in that part of Birmingham.
It needs investment and this is it.
