Saw this website linked on social media today. They have collated data on all clubs who have played in the top 4 leagues over the last five years. Out of 98 teams: Most Losses: 1. Birmingham City102 2. Reading 99 3. Doncaster 98 4. Bristol City 97 5. Stoke City 96 Most Goals Conceded: 1. Morecambe 354 2. Accrington Stanley 337 3. Birmingham City 330 4. Reading 329 5. Burton Albion 323 Worst Goal Difference: 1. Birmingham City -98 2. Scunthorpe United -96 3. Morecambe -83 4. Southend United -75 5. Accrington Stanley -73 We also rank #77 out of 98 on goals scored (232 in 224 games) and #8 on worst win percentage (27.2%). Finally, #79 in points accumulated (244 points). This might be the most compelling evidence yet that a God exists. It’s a genuine miracle we’ve not been relegated. footballrates.com/lastfiveseasons.html

Just shows what a fecking shit team we support relative to our second city status. Or what absolutely fecking shit owners we have had over the years. But the time has come now we have Knighthead. Wagner is the Lord……. Is repairing the lower Tilton and Kop evidence of the fact he is God? 😁🙏🙏

Very good, on opening this was expecting to read something of esoteric mysticism, metaphysics, theology or even mention of the golden ratio at least, but no it is of course far more compelling.
Have to say I think what surprised me most of all was Bristol and Stoke having lost only 5 and 6 games less than us over those 5 seasons, it seems we're far from uniquely crap without dropping in this division recently.

On that evidence it makes you wonder which division we could have been in had other teams not had points deducted 😬😬

I have always been inclined to believe there is a God based purely on my experience of being a Blues fan. More so over the last five years if anything and it comes with the conviction he is a Vile fan. That or the Devil is a vile fan. Only divine or demonic forces could be at play to see us spend so much money on being so consistently shite. Even now with the arrival of Knighthead and the best owners we have had in my 66 year lifetime we continue to be tortured with the real threat of relegation yet again. Whom the Gods wish to destroy they first send mad. The curse is extracting prolonged revenge for that Carling Cup win! 😜

Yes we had a points deduction but it didn't affect our status in the division which was the whole point of my comment 🤔🤷🏼♂️ If others hadn't had points deducted would we have stayed up in those specific seasons? The way our club was being run, there would have been fire sales so who's to say we wouldn't have dropped further down the tiers.

My point was that any team receiving a points deduction could/can have an effect on the the team receiving the points or the teams around them. It is what it is. Do we care if some club gets relegated because of their misdemeanours. No.

I don't care if their points deduction ended up with them being relegated - I was referring to that if they HADN'T had the points deduction then we could have been the one going down that season instead of them which may have been the start of the end our existence because I can't see Knighthead being as interested in us in League 2.....even Bassini wouldn't have bothered.
On a separate point, nice to see Sullivan blaming the likes of us for not agreeing to how the money is split from the PL - maybe if the stands had been built properly in the first place we wouldn't have lost capacity nor had to spend millions repairing them 😡😡😡

We played our way out of it that season. I accept your point but when all said and done, those clubs cheated the 'system' and us, and paid the price. I'm with you regarding Sully. I have made my feelings regarding the porn brothers quite clear before.

Fortunately you don't get relegated based on 5 years' number of losses.
I am glad its based on achieving a higher number of points than 3 other teams based on a 46 match season.
