Rowett just cut him from the squad against Preston.
I'm not happy about this, imo the only really genuine pace option and if you only have one they should be in the squad at least and especially under Rowett.
That said Rowett made a fair point that we all already know, the squad is unbalanced and he as an abundance of attacking midfelders whilst barely enough to fill first team spots in other positions and so the players he cuts are more likely to come from the attacking midfielder pool, I get that, still think he should have Hall as an option though.

The only thing just can think is if anyone is likely to break down injured during a game, it's most likely going to be Hall as he's had it happen so many times before.
At this stage of the season we need 90min options - imagine bringing him on or starting him and he breaks down....it would be devastating for everyone. Get safe and then give him what's left of the season 👍🏻

Hall understandably appears to be way behind the others in terms of fitness. I also fear that since all these injuries he’s gone backwards in terms of ability which may be a psychological thing. I think he needs to be protected and hopefully he can have a good pre season and make an impact next season. But he needs to offer more than just pace. Personally I would be surprised if he does come back to anything like he is portrayed to be. He has been very unlucky and I hope I am very wrong.

Sorry. But so far I haven't seen anything to get excited about regarding Mr Hall.

The lad needs time to get up to fitness and build his confidence. no point whacking him on then like others have said he breaks down with injury again.

The times Hall has come on, he has looked way off the pace. Wonder if he needs a few more u21 games to get his match fitness back.
A physio pal of mine has always said that a rule of thumb with a long injury is that for the period of time you are out of action, you are usually looking at the same length of time before you are back to full game speed.

We don’t need three centre mids on the bench but they all seems to be fancied.Sunjic stays so then you are looking at dropping Dozzell or Gardner if you do drop one. I’d drop Gardner. Not only do you get the pace but he’s also quite versatile and you could use hall in that front 3/4 or even in midfield as an 8. If he’s fit he should be in the squad for me.

I personally like our George Hall. I get a bit fed up of people slating the kids at our academy. Hall needs a good run in the team but unfortunately he’s been unlucky with injuries. He is clearly talented and we need to give the kid time. I get fed up with people talking about Junior Dixon having an attitude. The kid is a teenager at a Championship club. Does no one remember Ian Wright? Talk about an attitude but talk about a player. How about we get off the kid’s backs and let them play football.

Agree I also think the mentality of “well he’s scored goals in the 21s so give him a go” is also harmful They’ll know all about what he can and can’t do and will watch him in training every day. If he ain’t ready he ain’t ready

Agree with the majority opinion about George.A talented young man who Regrettably appears to be made of glass. The coaches have assessed the situation and want a robust albeit talented eleven to fight off the potential disaster of relegation. They obviously think the physical aspect to avoid the drop is not what George is ready for.

I am not sure it time to label him as ‘made of glass’. A lot of young athletes have hamstring issues while growing, especially sprinters. He is both still growing and a sprinter. We will only know to what extent he is ‘made of glass’ when he has finished growing and his body has settled down. Next season will be critical for him. Unfortunately this one is a write off and given our position it’s unrealistic to believe he can come in at this stage and make a big impact. I agree with the consensus that it’s right to be cautious with him.
