Done a piece on the upcoming Open House aswell as the timing with blues hitting the bottom three plus the long running theme of seeking out blues employees/owners to blame for the situation. Have to say it was very refreshing to see a take on it that wasn't demanding Colombian neckties or public lynchings for those deemed at fault. Let those without sin cast the first stone, shit happens and I'm absolutely certain where any fault does lie they're probably only too aware and desperate to make amends. If someone isn't good enough I'm sure they'll be replaced but everybody makes mistakes, luckily for most of us they're not usually in the public eye with the associated vitriolic thousands looking for their pound of flesh.
From Dan
I have to admit, I’m not going to ask for Garry Cook to throw himself on his knees begging for the mercy of the court at the Open House...
I don’t need to hear Garry Cook, Craig Gardner or anyone else admit mea culpa.
What I want to hear is what things have been done to try to ensure mistakes don’t happen in the future in the same way.
Mistakes are inevitable in life, including in football.
We have to accept that sometimes things don’t go the way we want them to – including how transfers and managers work out.
The important thing is always how people react to making those mistakes
Exactly.

I agree with both Dan’s views and yours. Mistakes have been made but it is necessary to sometimes separate what was intended from what happened. The constraints of P&S on recruitment has been more significant than some appreciate but it is now pretty clear that recruitment could have been more balanced. If we go down, and it is not a certainty yet, then we will have to suck it up. I am not going to let it impact me beyond feeling disappointed or stop me from retaining optimism for the future. Very exciting news about the planned new stadium. I, for one, hope that the hyperbole is dialled down a touch as it has left us hostage to fortune but I am sure the intention was to enthuse fans at the time. Whatever happens in the next month or so we will go again in August with a team built to compete in whichever league we are in and I will be there supporting the club I love no matter what. KRO.

I guess it’s a judgement on call on what is a “mistake” and what is “incompetence”.
Overall I have full confidence in Knighthead. They have already been a huge net positive for the club despite what’s happened on the pitch.
