Just happens to be a big Huddersfield supporter.
Should this be allowed?
PS: he is also crap and a complete tosser.

In a word, no.
There's no indication that his decisions would be swayed in favour of Huddersfield because he's a fan BUT it is a mitigating circumstance therefore he should remove himself from the scenario - for the good of the game and the fact that some fans in Huddersfield may personally blame him if Huddersfield go down.

I'm 99.999% sure that conflicts of interest where refs suppoert a team that could be directly impacteed by a result of a game they are due to officiate in are actually prohibited, not frowned on or discouraged but actually not allowed. Can someebody inform the club, don't assume they already know.

Let’s hope he’s not been replaced by a vile fan.

Sam Allison is his replacement. Although I’d certainly question whether it’s an improvement. Madley has been moved up the Blackburn game which I’d still say is a little questionable.

Agreed, how is that any less of a conflict of interest? Gives Blackurn a potential avenue to explore for appealing should they lose citing a clear and distinctly unfair bias against them surely. Maybe they need to complain about it first but whilst mistakes can and do happen, we're all human, you have to question which numpty at the EFL/PGMOL removed Madley from our game for this specific reason and then placed him in charge of another game with exactly the same conflict of interest? Utterly bizarre.
