Any of you lot watch this great channel? Just shows how spoilt we were with the great TV and movies of years ago, compared to the dross of today. With no footie for the foreseeable future, it's a great chance to indulge yourselves. Been a godsend for me since I finished work a year ago, mainly due to ill health.

Yes some of the stuff is so bad it’s brilliant “ Konga “ , “ Cosh Boy “ ....but it shows films like “ Whistle down the wind “ too , a classic . Most of that was filmed on the farm next door to a pal of mine who lived in Clitheroe as a child

I’ve been watching Talking Pictures for a couple of years now. Robin Hood, William Tell, Budgie, Public Eye with the great Alfred Burke and Hawkeye and the last of the Mohicans all bring back memories. Some great films on there too - I’ve just watched I’m Alright Jack with Peter Sellers - a classic satire of its time.

I’m Alright Jack is on again later, I'll record it and give it a go. Are these films being edited ?

I’m Alright Jack is on again later, I'll record it and give it a go. Are these films being edited ? No idea if the stuff I’ve watched has been edited or not. They are full of stereotypes- but you’d expect that from a TV series or film from the 1960s and 70s. The ‘language’ in Budgie would be seen as racist these days so if that series has been snipped I wouldn’t know as I was 12 when that was first broadcast and my parents wouldn’t let me watch it as it was deemed too racy for me to view and it was shown on a school night! I got my revenge a couple of years later though when I had my hair cut the same as Adam Faith in Budgie and bought a similar jacket and stack heel boots as his character. Those shows and films are what they are, of their time and to me very nostalgic and entertaining.

Budgie certainly doesn't appear to have been edited ...............
