Welcome to our 4th annual final placings prediction thread.
As per feel free to post comments anywhere but after a few days I'll remove all posts that aren't an actual prediction, it's just too big a pain in the arse to scroll down to find them then move onto pages 3,4,5 etc, don't take it personally.
Same rules as always, you score a point for every place out you are for individual team predictions, so if you predict Blues to finish 1st and they finish 5th you'll score 4 points and the winner will be the poster with the LOWEST points total (the nearest to predicted finishing position) at the end of the season.
The thread will be LOCKED at midnight on 31st August, NO EXCEPTIONS, until then you are free to change an already posted prediction.
IMPORTANT
If Blues are deducted points any finishing position will take that points deduction into account, so if results have us finishing 14th but a points deduction means we're placed 22nd, it's the latter that will be used for calculating final scores.
Two favours to ask can you number your predictions, it makes it a lot easier for me when totalling up the scores, to save you doing it you can even copy and paste the below and fill in the blanks Also can you check that you have entered a prediction for every championship team, most seasons one or two posters accidentally miss a team out and double enter another team, if I notice I'll inform the poster but if I don't before the cut off it will be deemed an invalid entry.

This is my effort. Still can't work Blues out because we play like a team capable of top 8 but we are becoming a soft touch at the back.

The half way scores are in with some ahem, interesting results.
11th tiltoncaravan - 167 - long way behind 10th and a very long way from everybody else, the wooden spoon appears to be in the bag. Also joint worst individual team guess with Norwich being 18 places out. However the second closest position on blues.
10h EPJ - 134 - weirdly despite finishing so low, has more teams than anyone else (4) in their exact position, also Norwich the worst prediction being 17 places out. Was closest positioning vile.
Joint 8th
Coopo and bluenoseb - both 122 - Coopo the most pessimistic bluenose having blues 13 places lower, nothing of bluenoseb's picks stands out (sorry) long way to go yet though
7th jazzy - 113 - worst team pick QPR being 13 places out, despite being 7th is only 15 points behind the leader
joint 5th
Bosch and briteside - both 112 - Bosch the only poster not double figures away with Norwich, also the joint 2nd least double figure away picks, briteside 2nd most pessimistic on blues his 2nd worst pick after QPR.
Nobody was more than 3 places out on Leeds
8 of the 11 posters had wba within 1 place, coopo, bluenoseb and briteside being the other 3
Nobody had boro more than 3 places out
Nobody had Forest more than 4 places out
Only 3 posters were less than double figures out on QPR, Coopo, Oz and yours truly
Nobody more than 4 places out on Bristol or Sheff Weds or Rotherham
8 of the 11 posters had Reading within 1 place, Coopo, Oz and yours truly being the others

14 teams had nobody picking their exact position.
By far the team most accurately predicted are Leeds, 6 posters picked them to be top, EPJ, OZ, BLUENOSEB, JAZZY, BOSCH and MM
3 teams caught nearly everybody out, Norwich a combined 139 places out and QPR and Brentford both a combined 122 places out, Bosch the least out on 2 of these

OK top 4 and it has a familiar look to it.
4th - tilts - 108 - current champion just 10 points off the lead, worst 4 picks the 3 mentioned above that caught virtually everybody out and blues being the joint second most pessimistic on us (disciplinary panel pending though)
3rd - mm - 106 - two time champion bidding to reclaim the crown, the Norwich, QPR, Brentford trinity amongst his worst 4 picks along with Millwall, he don't get them Laandaners
2nd - bubba - 100 - never finished outside top 3, never won it, always the bridesmaid. Only poster to not have picked a single team at least 13 places away from current position and joint second least amount of double figure away picks with bosch (2) Norwich and Brentford, bosch's were QPR and Bolton.
1st - BruminOz - 98 - despite poor last season usually around the upper reaches and blazing the trail this time. The only poster to have just 1 team double figures away, but here's where it gets weird, that team Norwich is the joint worst pick along wth the 11th placed caravanman being 18 places out, 2 other teams just 8 places out and astonishingly every other pick all within 6 places or less of their current position.

Have done a preliminary totalling up but excluded Leeds and Sheff Utd until the outcome of the Sheffield deby tomorrow. Unfortunately forgot that Wednesday getting a positive result could change a lot of figures of teams just above them aswell as their own so will possibly have to do it all over again tomorrow.
Nevertheless, I don't anticipate the placings I have thus far being massively changed whatever happens and without giving too much away, I will say we definitely will have a new leader with Oz having been hammered since the last count, but that at least 8 of the 11 are still in with a shout of winning, especially given the congested nature of the middle of the championship and the potential for significant movement still, though we do have a very clear new leader, until tomorrow then...

Before getting to the top 4 I will be doing one more update before the last one due to the congested nature of the championship and the potential for blues to be deducted points, guessing before the baggies game at the end of the month or maybe a weeek or so after baggies.

It's a good lead but tilts was 10 behind Oz last time and is now 10 ahead of him, plenty of games left to change things especially with how tight 6th to 15th is still.

I know I said no analysis but just one thing, before tonight's game Monks had 7 (SEVEN) teams in their exact positions, never seen that before, I think 5 is the most either during or at the end of the season which is how many he has after Wednesday swapped places with Swansea.
