I watched the game in disbelief
Never seen them so gung-ho at 0-0 and 1-0
Countless times playing a very dangerous high line on the half way line with two defenders. That’s how I play fifa against my son and most the time a counter through ball and I am done.
Didn’t hear half time or full time summary cos was doing a two hour treadmill stint. Did it get mentioned?
So far only Spain and Portugal have looked like good teams can’t count Russia yet.
I did say before the tournament that Germany were looking dodgy and they have the political issues too.
Argentina look like a team that struggled to qualify.
If Brazil show up they may clock up a rare South America win in Europe.
Peru look good and Uruguay look solid at the back but it’s still looking like Spain to win for me or maybe Portugal?

Agreed, you want to see teams have a go and attack, but they were comically gung ho.

I think they expected Mexico to just fold under the pressure

Only a fool would bet against the krauts. They always show up at the world cup. Still expecting them to get further than England. Mexico did look good.

Mexico are choc full of pace and skill. The problem with Germany now is that their big performers in the last decade are almost all retired now and the next crop of players are not quite as good. But as Jazzzy said, don't bet against them.

Did he Germans play a right back?
Couldn't believe the amount of room there was on the Mexico left, it could have been more than one if the left winger( who had a good game) could have managed a decent cross or final pass.

I’m with you. Got to say that if England put in a performance like that tonight, there won’t be people on her saying don’t bet against them. I remember watching the 1974 World Cup and everyone until now and I’ve got to say it’s the weakest German team I’ve seen. Any team that takes Ozil over Sane is asking for trouble. If Mexico had had any idea up front, 3-0 wouldn’t have flattered them. Let’s face it, other than the Spanish and the Portuguese, no one looks like we should be scared of them and you must remember that they both conceded 3, albeit from a footballing genius in Ronny.
