Yes I agree a very good interview and was clear and precise in his analysis and he was spot on regarding this game. Not too many ‘erms’ either. I think of all the recent managers we have had he is actually more articulate and is able to explain more detailed points better than others ( although Rowett was decent too). It may be just me but I wasn’t expecting that from him when he was appointed and I wasn’t looking forward to hearing a strong scouse accent. How wrong I was! I think he talks a good game well.

Hectic post match evening for me but my take.
Leicester probably have most points at this stage of a tier two season ever?
Apart from Vestergard absolutely every single player they had was either quick or ridiculously quick. We probably only had Dembele with that kind of pace.
They break and they break fast. I felt we were suckered and two centre backs should have been 5 yards deeper first half with maybe Bielilk pivot to stop the counter, he’s been woeful since Rooney arrived his games gone to pot. If we had two Sunjic in the middle it would be perfect pairing.
Ruddy slow as ever came too late for the first and then too early for the second I think it’s on the mind and that shit will always happen.
Their midfield main two earn more than probably our starting eleven and this is unfolding how I said it would post Covid. The EFL on the whole have probably cut their cloth so much it was always going to lead to an even bigger gap.
I dare say the spend mindset up there now is even if go down you’ll probably come back first time.
We wil still see some surprises like Luton Coventry and Ipswich but it’s getting harder to get out for clubs with our revenue and even if we double it that won’t help.
JJ probably had his best game in a blue shirt and it’s the first time I saw what some say about him and he’s going to get better as Rooney finally improved someone.
Roberts has been excellent since his return.
I wasn’t too disheartened and felt like we gave a good account of ourselves but this wont mean much if we get turned over saturday.
if we had better options on the bench as opposed to kids and players passed their use we may have got a result.

Just a couple of points. Bielilks game going to pot is nothing to do with Rooney, it went following his injury. Roberts generally has played well be he had a hand in us conceding the first 2 goals and his long throwing hasn't improved.

I find the Bielik argument far too convenient.
His form has been terrible and ten games have passed since he came back.
Roberts first long throw forced a save from the header.

Nothing to do with convenient. It does happen with some players. If you believe its down to Rooney then please explain. So do you also believe that the long throw tactic works. Has it ever worked with Roberts. For me they are mostly high loops that make life to easy for opposition defences.

Really, you actually don't get how the introduction of a new manager can change a players form? Where have you been over the last 6 years? There are countless examples of how a managers arrival stops a player performing well. On the flip side players careers can change with a new manager. Bielik has played all the games under Rooney except Sunderland away and he has been utter shit for nearly all of them games, most fans are having a pop at him in games. I was marvelling at Bielik pre Rooney so do the Maths! He's been a bit better since he's had Sunjic around him. Funny we had two holding players and done ok then we didn't and he was shit and now he's not as bad. Coincidence? In Rooney's favour it appears after his first 7 games he changed his mind on massive upheaval and I wouldn't mind betting he's had to take on board more of what the team wants and less of what he wants. You can already see the green shoots of a recovery in the last few games. It's easier for a bad manager to ruin a team than it is for a good manager to make a team better. After the baggies game if you told any Blues fan we are heading for a relegation battle you'd be locked up. If you made that same statement any time in the last month most would agree. Simple observations.

Regarding Bielik, is it all in his mind now and not his form? To have both front teeth knocked out is going to hurt yet he's asked to go and play the same game, in the same format with a chance that it could happen again - don't know about you, but it would be on my mind too and perhaps make me a little hesitant.
You can just see glimpses of him standing off and not being so close in the tackle - does he need some psychiatric help to overcome the teeth loss incident?

Simple observations. There wasn't many marvelling at Bielik before or after the Rooney appointment. He knew Rooney well before so he would probably be the least affected by his arrival at Blues. If it has affected him that badly then maybe he should put a transfer request in. Please explain what you are talking about ' over the last 6 years' apart from poor ownership and feckin shite recruitment. It didn't take Rooney 7 games to change his mind so where have you been or are you one of the Rooney haters who likes to keep blaming 'the Rooney system' on our poor form. After the Norwich game and throughout September many could see a carbon copy of the previous season and at best being a midtable side. I repeat at best. You could see then the inconsistency of the squad with questionable recruitment again. But after beating Huddersfield, who are shite, together with a none too convincing win against the Albion, some got over excited. Not me.

I regarded Bielik as the glue for this team most classed him as important to the team. Ruddy, Sanderson, Bielik and Stansfield were the main first names on the teamsheet every week.
Game 1 - Epic fail his system Game 2 - Ditto Game 3 - Ditto Game 4 - Still digging in and we pulled a performance which I believe was more Ipswich complacency Game 5 - Bielik missing and still sticking to the project Game 6 - A little tweak but no real pragmatism Game 7 - Plenty of shots but still soft at the back Game 8 - Back 3 in possession Sanderson effectively middle of the 3 including Aiwu and Buchanan Game 9 - Highly regarded as a 442 and effectively a turning point Game 10 - Cardiff the first time he plays two defensive midfielders to give that screen to the backline Game 11 - Very much the same
5 games of complete ignorance to the teams strengths. 2 games starting to realise his plan is shite 2 games tweaking for a better solution and the last 2 games setting up with the players thoughts in mind.
By the way I know for a fact there was a full inquest and meeting with all players and all coaches after the Coventry game.
You just can't accept that Rooney so far has been an unmitigated disaster and the crowds reflect that.
Can he turn it around? Of course he can but he's got a lot to do to win fans over and at least he's started realising if he wants to stick around HE HAS TO LISTEN TO THE PLAYERS!!!
Failing that he needs about 8 players!

He hasn't been that for a long time even though he should be. Game 1 - Epic fail his system I wouldn't call it epic. We lost 1-0Game 2 - Ditto This is where it all started. Fans abusing and booing during Rooney's first home game. The 'system' never stood a chance. Fans behaviour affected performance on the pitch and a game that some thought was going to be a nailed on win was always going to be a difficult game.Game 3 - Ditto A game most thought we would loose but a dodgy first goal together with dodgy individual performances finished us anyway Game 4 - Still digging in and we pulled a performance which I believe was more Ipswich complacency So you offer no praise for a good first half performance without Bielik just how poor Ipswich were. The reason why we didn't win the game was down to forced subs and again poor individual performance. Game 5 - Bielik missing and still sticking to the project Can't agree. The 'project was gone by this time. We lost through diabolical defending.Game 6 - A little tweak but no real pragmatism We won the game even with sections of the crowd abusing and booing again.Game 7 - Plenty of shots but still soft at the back Yet more shocking performances from individualsGame 8 - Back 3 in possession Sanderson effectively middle of the 3 including Aiwu and Buchanan Worst performance of the season and for me this was the turning point.Game 9 - Highly regarded as a 442 and effectively a turning point One player in particular decided he didn't fancy it and went shopping for new trainers to protect his sore feet instead. A makeshift defence together with powder for an attack and we were always in trouble Game 10 - Cardiff the first time he plays two defensive midfielders to give that screen to the backline This is the only game I haven't seen this season.Game 11 - Very much the same Another game we were always going to loose but a decent performance although no squad available for a plan B when needed.5 games of complete ignorance to the teams strengths. 2 games starting to realise his plan is shite 2 games tweaking for a better solution and the last 2 games setting up with the players thoughts in mind. By the way I know for a fact there was a full inquest and meeting with all players and all coaches after the Coventry game. I think a major overhaul regardless is needed in the summer and with so many contracts up this is the ideal opportunity for WR to put his stamp on they way he wants to run the team. but for me then it will be chit or bust for him

He hasn't been that for a long time even though he should be. Game 1 - Epic fail his system I wouldn't call it epic. We lost 1-0 - DID YOU WATCH IT? ONE SIDED GAME
Game 2 - Ditto This is where it all started. Fans abusing and booing during Rooney's first home game. The 'system' never stood a chance. Fans behaviour affected performance on the pitch and a game that some thought was going to be a nailed on win was always going to be a difficult game.
YOU'RE MAKING EXCUSES AND IF FANS ARE NEGATIVE TOWARDS IT THEN IT'S HIS JOB TO MAKE IT WORKGame 3 - Ditto A game most thought we would loose but a dodgy first goal together with dodgy individual performances finished us anyway
SOUNDS LIKE EXCUSES
Game 4 - Still digging in and we pulled a performance which I believe was more Ipswich complacency So you offer no praise for a good first half performance without Bielik just how poor Ipswich were. The reason why we didn't win the game was down to forced subs and again poor individual performance.
I GAVE PRAISE AT THE TIME BUT FOLLOWING RESULTS IMPLIED IT WAS A FLASH IN THE PANGame 5 - Bielik missing and still sticking to the project Can't agree. The 'project was gone by this time. We lost through diabolical defending.
YOU'RE DELUDED
Game 6 - A little tweak but no real pragmatism We won the game even with sections of the crowd abusing and booing again.
THIS WASN'T AUDIBLE TO MOST OF US BUT YOU LOVE ROONEY SO
Game 7 - Plenty of shots but still soft at the back Yet more shocking performances from individuals
JUST LIKE ROONEY YOU LIKE TO SINGLE OUT PLAYERS
Game 8 - Back 3 in possession Sanderson effectively middle of the 3 including Aiwu and Buchanan Worst performance of the season and for me this was the turning point.
MAKE YA MIND UP
Game 9 - Highly regarded as a 442 and effectively a turning point One player in particular decided he didn't fancy it and went shopping for new trainers to protect his sore feet instead. A makeshift defence together with powder for an attack and we were always in trouble
I THINK SANDERSON IS AN IDIOT BUT LOSING ONE PLAYER ISN'T THE REASON WE LOST, WE WERE DEVOID OF A PLAN. I THOUGHT TOMBOLA CLARK WAS BACK
Game 10 - Cardiff the first time he plays two defensive midfielders to give that screen to the backline This is the only game I haven't seen this season.
WHAT IS THIS YA REASON FOR NOT ACCEPTING WE WON WITH TWO DM'S?
Game 11 - Very much the same Another game we were always going to loose but a decent performance although no squad available for a plan B when needed.5 games of complete ignorance to the teams strengths. 2 games starting to realise his plan is shite 2 games tweaking for a better solution and the last 2 games setting up with the players thoughts in mind. By the way I know for a fact there was a full inquest and meeting with all players and all coaches after the Coventry game. Should that not happen after every game - THERE'S A BIG DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GAME ANALYSIS AS OPPOSED TO AN INQUEST TO FIND OUT WHY IT'S A MESSYou just can't accept that Rooney so far has been an unmitigated disaster and the crowds reflect that. Wrong. But it has not all down to Rooney. The players and some idiot fans have not helped from day one
IT IS ALWAYS THE MANAGERS FAULT....ALWAYSCan he turn it around? Of course he can but he's got a lot to do to win fans over and at least he's started realising if he wants to stick around HE HAS TO LISTEN TO THE PLAYERS!!! And how do you know he hasn't been together with shouldn't they be also be putting a shift in for him and the club the past couple of months.
THE LAST TWO GAMES WOULD INDICATE THE PLAYERS ARE MORE ENGAGED PROBABLY BECAUSE HE HAS LISTENED TO THEIR POINT OF VIEWFailing that he needs about 8 players! I think we are going to need a lot more than that to have any kind of success
THIS IS A SAD INDICTMENT OF THE POINT I AM MAKING. IF A TEAM HAS A MID TABLE BUDGET AND LOOKS COMFORTABLE MID TABLE THEN YOU ADMITTING WE EFFECTIVELY NEED A WHOLE TEAM AFTER BUYING A WHOLE TEAM TELLS ME ALL I NEED TO KNOW OF YOUR LOVE FOR ROONEY!
THE CEO COMMENTS TOLD US ALL WE NEED TO KNOW. THERE'S NO MONEY AND NO REAL NEED TO BUY LOADS MORE PLAYERS!
THEREFORE ROONEY HAS TO WORK WITH THE PLAYERS. THE TIMING OF THE COMMENTS AND THE TIMING OF THE PRAGMATIC SHIFT IS MORE OR LESS IN TANDEMThing is I want Rooney to be a success as he makes us money, he will attract good players and if he starts getting results he may earn the trust of the fans. You can't walk into a club fcuk it up and expect fans to fall at your feet.....RESPECT IS EARNED!!!

Agreed, got tbh I didn't have a great perception of him either and not entirely sure why, maybe a case of reading constant negativity from fans generally over the years, obviously grannyshaggergate didn't help.
When you ignore all that and start with a clean slate I like his thinking, I admire his managerial career path and apparently he's the complete opposite of what people who've never met him assume, like not expecting players to have the level of ability he did, being down to Earth and approachable with GOOD man management skills, but none of that fits the narrative some want to have about him.
I'll be honest the erms do grate on me a bit but Jaysus it's really not that important in the big scheme of things and apparently it's something speaking to the cameras brings out more in him than he's like one on one.
I like him, want him to be super successful with us and when he's gone will wish him no ill, up the Rooney.
