So. The 3 most controversial things I have ever seen in football involved the 3 fingered lot. 1. Leeds away, the season they were promoted. 2. Failure of goal line technology at the sheds against Sheffield. 3. Shootout controversial decision against Lille last night.
So UEFA rules now say, not FA rules, you can be sent off before a game, during a game, extra time or after a game but not during a penalty shootout.
The game has gone crazy.

Absolutely thought the very same. It’s always them. Does that mean he is banned for the next game?

And each time it has happened they have benefitted from it (promotion, escaped relegation, progressing to a semi final). You just know if it was us we'd have missed promotion, got relegated, got to the semi and booted out. Anyway, feck em - they won't be playing in a sports quarter like the mighty Blues will be 👍🏻👍🏻

Controversial yes, but with no solid evidence either way.

So the five fingered goalkeeper has been suspended for the first leg of the semi 🤔
So he will be available to face a penalty shootout in the second leg.🙄

At least there is some punishment. I didn’t expect any more but feared that his human rights had been trashed ( poor sod) and that his team would get an automatic bye to the final 🫣 well nothing would surprise me with them lot ….

Hopefully without him they'll get demolished in the first leg.

I see it happened again to day with man u keeper receiving a second yellow in the shootout after getting his first card during normal time. He will not face any ban. So are we now going to see more gamesmanship with player's knowing that being booked during a shootout means nothing. What actually is the point of this rule change.
