Wouldn't it just be bleeding annoying if they sneaked through? Ever since Maradona, I've hated those barstewards, not aided by their thuggish behaviour in England in '66.

Nigeria are a better team than most realise, defensively very well organised, a very promising keeper. Argentina look the exact opposite and I can see Nigeria at least getting the draw in that game.

Lots of people seem to be celebrating the exit of Germany Argentina and Portugal like it helps us. France were by far better than the Argies so it's hardly a celebration. Uruguay if anything are the South American version of Portugal, solid at the back and lethal strike force. Fair enough Germany is a bonus but having seen them I would have fancied us against them. At present I just want to celebrate the exit of Colombia Ever since I saw the Quarter-Final all dayer Saturday I feel that it could be one of the biggest piss ups in a long time. Viewing figures for a Quarter Final could be huge for a Saturday kick off.

I do fancy Spain to give Russia a hiding today too.

Yeah never have a chance as good as this again. I really thought that SPain would demolish Russia, but they were so tame in attack.

Love the fact that Spain are out, one of the most boring teams ever to watch.
Generation fifa will be crying into their dirty burgers and buttermilk chicken.

Colombia will be a tough game, but I think you're right Bosch. We will probably never have a better chance of getting to a World Cup final.
Come on England!!

Yeah I expected them to turn on the flair, but they didn't even bother trying to cross the ball or anything. It's like they were scared of losing possesion. Fair play to Russia.

No great lover of the Spanish tippy tappy style, and they were woeful in the final third, but the winner was anti-football. Russia did what they had to do, and bleeding painful it was too!
