Can't play until the embargo is lifted. We can bring in as many u23s as we want for the u23 squad, but it can't be seen as a way of drafting them into the first team.

Steve Spooner's U-18's got off to a losing start down at Cardiff on Saturday in the PDL in a match mostly dominated by the Blubirds; the final score was 1 v 0. Team was Jeacock, Moore, Powell, Campbell, Kiwiwa, Gordon, Mayuba (Mitchell 86’), Walker, George, Hilton, Thompson-Sommers.

Good win for Blues in their first PDL game of the new season beating Watford 3 v 1 with goals from Andrews, Bailey and McFarlane. Team was Weaver, Martin, Cogley, McGilp, Scarr (Forrest 65), Bajrami, O'Keeffe, Lakin (McCoy 65), Andrews (Bailey 65), McFarlane, Seddon. www.bcfc.com/news/articles/2018/report-blues-under-23s-3-watford-under-23s-1/Excellent fight back by the U-23's in their latest PDL turn-out of the new season at Charlton coming from 2 v 0 down to draw 2 v 2 with goals from Odin Bailey and Josh Martin. Impressive defending display from Geraldo Bajrami. Team was Weaver, Forrest (Baker, 70), Bajrami, Martin, Seddon, McCoy (McLean, 85), Stirk, McGilp, Anderson (Burke, 60), McFarlane, Bailey

Great result for the U-23's as they beat Colchester at Stans 4 v 2. Blues went 4 v 0 up thanks to a Kyle McFarlane hat-trick and an Ollie McCoy goal before Colchester got 2 back near the end due to sloppy defending. Blues also hit the post 3 times. Team was Weaver, Cogley, Burke, Martin (McCoy,, 65), Scarr, Bajrami (Forrest, 75), Bailey, McGilp, McFarlane (Anderson, 75), Lubala, Seddon.
Blues top of the PDL2 (at least temporarily) with 9 goals in 3 games and Kyle McFarlane's goal tally on 4.

The U-18's drew 1 v 1 at home to Charlton today with a goal from Rhys Hilton. Unfortunately they caught the contagion from the 1st team and conceded a late goal equaliser.
Team was Jeacock, Moore, Powell, Campbell, Kinina, Gordon, Baker, Thompson-Summers, George, Mayuba, Hilton
It is a cause to wonder now about whether Blues (at all levels) have a problem holding concentration for the full 90minutes+ of games given that they all have a propensity to concede late goals, i.e. 1st team, the U-23's and now the U-18's. Just coincidence I know, but something to watch for I think.

They are all working so hArd that they tired after 75 minutes. This work effort will show rewards with each match I think. ( for all our sides )

Good away win for the Moors today, 1 v 2 at Barrow. First goal scored by Luke Maxwell; O'Keeffe on the bench again.

Blues U-23's went down to a 2 v 0 away loss at Portman Rd tonight from a 1st half Ipswich volley at the back post and a last minute goal, thus ending our unbeaten start to the season. Blues had plenty of opportunities and a penalty appeal waved away, but failed to capitalise. Team was Luyambula, Martin, Bajrami, Redmond, Burke, McCoy, Anderson, McGilp, Agustien (not Kemy!), Bailey, McFarlane.

Blues U-23's were well on top in this encounter with Palace at the Hills, but the scoreline finished 0 v 0 due to numerous missed chances. Team was Weaver, Forrest, Burke, Boyd-Munce, Bajrami, Martin, Baker (Bailey 62), McGilp, McFarlane, Anderson, McCoy

byg you are the youth team expert on here? I have just watch the u16's against Man U and we lost 4-2. The question is our number 10 a tall black lad was absolutely brilliant , he did 3 0r 4 mazy dribbles hand one kicked of the line from a tight angle and scored from 40 yards. When he lobbed the goalie who was off his line. The best I have seen T.F, any idea's please?

He looked really good mm it's on Blues T.V. If I knew how I would copy it and put it on here. It was only on for 3 or 4 minutes.

The club has him down as Jude Bellingham, but I'm not so sure because he's not that tall and allegedly he's turning out for the U-18's as I speak at the Hills against Crewe. Sounds more like Odin Bailey, but he's 18.

First win of the new season for the U-18's with a 5 v 0 home win at Wast Hills over Crewe. Blues dominated the match though were only 1 v 0 to the good at HT, but went on to demolish Alex in the 2nd half. Goals came from Stirk (early penalty after Bellingham fouled), Walker, George (2) and Bellingham. Team was Jeacock, Moore, Powell, Campbell, Kinina, Forrest, Baker, Stirk, Traore, Bellingham and Thompson-Sommers; subs: Walker, Bradley-Hurst, Mayuba and George.

Good wins for both the under 23 and under 18s yesterday.
Watched the 23s goals and McFarlanes was a very composed finish.

Yes epj, definitely a good prospect. However, I don't think he is the no.10 that bertie is mentioning who turned out for the U-16's the day before even though the club claims he scored the penalty in the game against Manure.

Check out @bcfcacademy’s Tweet: It could be but I thought he looked leaner and taller and a bit darker if I can say that?

We need all the help we can get. If Hale carries on his current form he could be worth a place on the bench. The Irish league ain’t that bad, we got Fahey from there and he was a good servant. Probably on a par with league 2 or the Scottish First Division.
