Just read on twitter that Gary Rowett will be coming in for rest of season according to Neil Moxley in the Mirror. Don’t know if that’s true, but if one man knows how to shore up a defence it’s him. Over to you bubba.

If this has been done with the recommendation of Mowbray, I’m ok with it- I think

So who did he flash his knickers at this time ?
Also does it mean uncle Tone is unlikely to be back any time soon.

Only my opinion, but dont think we will see TM back at the club again. Would not surprise me to see him take early retirement and spend more time with him family after this episode

Every likelihood that it's with the full blessing of TM and. Until the end of season. It gives plenty of time for uncle Tony to fully recover, rather than rush back. Your health first Tony.... good luck.

I only hope it’s not too late.

It would suggest that Mowbray is not returning this season which is a huge shame but we all hope he gets better. I very much hope his blessing has been giving. I also have seen moxleys tweet, and him prefacing it with ‘good news’ irks me a bit and really doesn’t help his standing

Happy with this for last 8 games, has a proven record of getting a new manager bouce at clubs and hopefully will get us enough points to get us over the line.
Think venus will be releived too if as it looks mowbray was not gonna return any time soon.
As i said after sat its not about performances and style now its about getting points on the board and maintaining our status in the league.

If the treatment TM is having is chemotherapy followed by radiotherapy, I can personally confirm that he’s not going to get over that in 6-8 weeks. . The fatigue is colossal. I hope he gets back to us, but what is best for his family should come first. I can’t imagine for a second that Mr Wagner would have gone over his head on this one. TM must have agreed.

It raises questions over Tony’s recovery and let’s hope he is still on tract to return in due course.
I can see the thinking behind appointing Rowett. We need someone who will make an immediate impact and tighten us up at the back. I expect us to be seeing plenty of Jukey, Gards and Sunjic in the side. Goals remain a concern but that would remain no matter who is in charge. Owners are not scared to intervene for better or worse.
Here we go.

If it is Gary Rowett, even if it’s only till the end of the season, there’s a Karma there. He’s definitely my choice. Having said that where the next goal’s coming heaven knows.

As good as done!
Redemption is in the offing.
The chinese whispers in my opinion were just a defence due to how Dong managed that.
Have said it a billion times and will never not say it. If you absolutely hate your job and you are looking for work then 2 or 3 companies offer you 3 or 4 times your salary to leave and that employer can pay peanuts to release you from current employment then WHY THE FUUCK ARE YOU NOT LEAVING???
Just because the chinese are good at manipulating folks by leaking stuff that looks real and good at telling people then saying "Don't tell anyone" knowing full well they will tell everyone then it doesn't make them stories true.
Unless you are Rowett or the chairman at the other clubs it's just gossip and hearsay!
Now lets move on, get behind him and hope he keeps us up because don't sit around thinking it could be a short term thing either.

Didn't he say he still had unfinished business with us, I really can't see that Rowett is treating this as a short term appointment that’s a good point. You can definitely see it as an audition of sorts, although whether the club see it as that is a different question. Regardless of what happens though he definitely should not be here next season.

I hope this is true. He was sacked because he took us to 7th and the owners wanted a 'name' as manager. Whether GR was looking for other clubs to manage or not, as a Blues fan, not particularly happy about it, but I am sure the vast majority of you have looked for other jobs while still employed elsewhere. If we have to play long ball then do it, not got time to play the fancy stuff or try to pass around the opposition, results count more than style until our last game. Don't get this B6 connection either, he never played or managed them, if he grew up supporting them, so what??? There are many players/ex players who grew up supporting a team but played or managed their local rivals. We have both Gardners and Hogan at our club who played for them, don't see anyone having a go at them for it, players in the past were in B6 before they come to us. We can't do much worse than the last 6 games, so GR has my support. Stay up and see where we are in the summer, with or without TM.

'Ollie Burke, calling Ollie Burke.....your time out in the cold is done.' Could their previous time working together mean Ollie will be back? Get your money on it - Ollie Burke to score a 90th minute winner that keeps the Blues in the Championship (you can see it now 😄😄).

I have been watching for a long time, and stating a fact that nobody else has. If Rowett stays or goes after the end of the season, not my call, football is very different from 2016, we need results now, next season is a different matter.

I have it on hearsay that Mowbray may not be back and this role is announced as temporary when he's been told there's a chance to go permanent. Guess what.... IT IS NOT FACT!!

If true I welcome this move .
For the following reasons :
1. Since TM went on sick leave our results have been dire .
2. Mark Venus is obviously not enjoying the manager role .
3. Mark Venus is not the man motivator that TM is .
4. The Board have decided ( or so it seems ) that to escape relegation the team needs help .
5. GR is an experienced Championship manager .
6. None of the players were here when GR was here previously so they each have a fresh start with him .
7. I am sure the Board will tell him that it’s results that count and not high pressing etc .
8. This is an opportunity for all parties , including GR , to put themselves in the shop window playing in a style that suits them .
9 . The addition of GR in the international break gives him time to implement a results based style .
