Let’s go baseline shall we
Juke started 380 career games scored 118 goals Adams started 226 career games scored 80 goals
Yeah they are different strikers but if we saying juke is not a goal scorer and hitting our top 25 in 150 years then he’s either a goal scorer or blues fans have an unrealistic view on a goal scorers.
Sadly anyone who can score over 10 goals in a season for BCFC is a goal scorer.
I haven’t rated hogan for a while now but up until before last season he was taking 198 minutes to score goals in a blues shirt.
Modern crap championship clubs with even a goal every 3 games is not too shabby.
As said if a club hasn’t wanted you for 3 years why are you thrilled to play for it?

Dress your argument anyway you want. I think we are both agreeing that he isnt a goalscorer that will have any impact for us right now.

Apologies for butting in, but we also need players who are sharp and match fit. I’m kind of hoping Mr. interim will help us best by organising and motivating. Rather than making wholesale leftfield changes to lineups and tactics. I would not fcuk about with the team too much tbh. Just a few tweaks, and some discipline.

I can see Hogan retiring come the Summer, in fact I'd probably think Juke more likely to carry on.
Stuck up for Hogan for a long time because there were several genuine reasons for his lack of goals, playing through injuries, absolutely shite managers and the general poor standard of play from those players behind him not giving him sufficient and quality opportunities, these weren't excuses they were all true and sadly they were all true a lot of the time. However I think this season he came into it fit and has never got any kind of liftoff and just doesn't look like scoring at all. I'll be really surprised if he even starts any games under Rowett tbh cus I don't believe he's one that looks the business in training, if I'm wrong and he scores few I'll gladly eat humble pie but he looks completely shot to me these days.

I remember everyone calling Shinnie the worst signing in history then 4 months under Rowett people were calling him Shinniesta!
Reality is just as the saying about one man’s rubbish is another’s treasure there are plenty of players that are deemed as rubbish and different managers change the view on players. Well that’s how it works for those willing to give that player a chance.
As said I’m not a fan of last 18 months Hogan but I wouldn’t dismiss a player if he was played in a different set up.
You only have to look at this current squad fan opinions this month then maybe check opinions on them in October.
I dare say plenty of managers turned their nose up at Vardy for him to end up on the scrap heap.
Drinkwater is another example how you can change a premier winner into Mehdi Nafti in literally months.
Horses for courses!

Hmm, I think reality is sometimes if it looks like turd and walks like a turd, case in point Ollie Burke, he's been waiting to be another man's treasure for more than 8 years.

That's because Juke is a real pro

Hmm, I think reality is sometimes if it looks like turd and walks like a turd, case in point Ollie Burke, he's been waiting to be another man's treasure for more than 8 years. Agree with that. If you look at Hogans career history 2010-2014 , Woodley Sports, Mossley, Stocksbridge Park Steels, Ashton Unitd, Hyde and Rochdale - 72 appearances in the NPL, conference and league 2 scoring 29 goals [ a goal every 2.5 games] 2014 -17 Brentford in the championship 33 appearances and 21 goals
2016 -2019 vile, sheff u and stoke in the championship 77 appearances 12 goals
2019- present blues 143 appearances and 35 goals
So beyond his brentford season his form has dropped off significantly, and never hit beyond 10 goals. Thats patchy at best.
hes only ever struck me as a lower level striker who hit the lottery when vile were stupid enough to pay big bucks for him and hes coasted ever since
Agree the bloke looks shot now. Hed be better off dropping into the conference and enjoying the last couple of years of his career

Roll on the end of the season. He isn’t worth a discussion.

I couldn't believe it when we signed him. After the covid break he was poor yet some clown decided to sign him on big money He's always been a 6 yard tap in merchant. I can't ever remember him scoring a stunner.

In the majority of seasons the top goal getters will be playing for teams that don't finish 18th every season.

Hogan will inevitably play a part if juke is injured which it does seem like although he’ll probably only be restricted to sub appearances/rotation

I’ve always said that Hogan has lived off that season at Brentford and has done nothing over a season since.
If Juke is fit, he will score 6 goals from now until the end of the season.

I think, and hope, Rowett goes fully back to basics for the rest of the season.
Juke as the #9 with mobile players around him - Stansfield, Dembele, Hall. I’d be playing Donovan as well but seems to have been forgotten about recently.

They reckon 50 points might be enough so on that basis if he drew every game that would be 47 points - a couple of wins and that would put us on 51 points.....a win v QPR, Huddersfield, and Rotherham would probably be enough in terms of wins so a couple of draws mixed in should see us safe 🤞🏻
